i'm at the hackerspace reading through some 501(c)(3) documentation. a couple of other people are here. my iPod is playing over the speakers.

it played "through the fire and flames" by dragonforce...

..followed by "i want it that way" by the backstreet boys.

if the other guys here didn't realise what a weirdo i was, they sure know now. :)

No joke. From what I found online, he invested in his son's restaurant after he left Dirt Cheap. There is a small consolation, though. He opened up his own discount cigarettes and liquor store called Fred's Cheapo Depot, and he of course does the commercials himself.

As for Dirt Cheap, the chicken's still there. It now has a more feminine voice and says a lot more than just "Cheap! Cheap! Fun! Fun!"
