the perpetual motion machine works! i promise!

another morning, another day of class. today's lecture in my IP class is awesome...my prof used to be a patent examiner, and today we are discussing patents. therefore, he is telling lots of stories of weird inventors he came into contact with when he was working in the patent office. i almost wish i had a scientific background, because dealing with weirdos who try to patent warp drives and perpetual motion machines would be really amusing. frustrating, sure, but it would lead to some fantastic stories to tell at cocktail parties.
